We do allow demi gods and goddesses here on City of Lights, but there’s special rules and requirements for them. For demi gods, each god or goddess is allowed to accept up to three demi god children upon request. If we see that you seem like you are responsible and accurate enough to assume more, then we might allow you to have one or two more, depending on your situation and your wishes. Remember that a demi god is weaker than their godly parent and is half mortal. They’ll only receive one power related to their parent’s powers or abilities and do not get to have any more, though we do allow them to possibly have some training in weaponry or other sorts of defenses, as long as you don’t use god mode with them because we like everything to have a balance. Nobody can be completely indestructible, not even the gods and goddesses we have here.
To go about becoming a demi god, a new member must read through the information given about the godly parent that they hope to receive in the cannon list and then must go to that god or goddess’s profile and read what they have written down about where their god or goddess is in their personal story and etc. Once they decide on a godly parent and have read through all the information on that god or goddess, then they’ll need to check the bottom of that god or goddess’s profile where they’ll have a number somewhere at the bottom of their profile for the number of godly children that they already have or have pending. If you see a number with a strike through it, then that means that god or goddess is no longer accepting any demi god children and you’ll have to find someone else.
Once you have your godly parent in mind and you’ve decided that they’re the one you want, you’ll need to send them a polite message asking if they’d be interested in having a demi god child. While you’re waiting for a reply for your godly parent, send a quick message to one of the admins and let them know that you’re in the process of trying to find a godly parent for your character so that they know what’s going on and know that you’re using your time wisely and not ignoring the application deadline. It’s very important that you let the admins know because if you don’t, they might think that you’re just wasting time about choosing a character instead of trying to find a godly parent.
Please keep in mind that we do allow gods and goddesses to their own choices about their children and their own specific requirements. For example, a god or goddess might have their own small list of requirements that you must meet in order for them to accept you like having a face claim that looks relatable to theirs, an age range that they’d prefer you’d be, a certain power of theirs that they wouldn’t mind sharing with you, etc, though we do ask that all gods and goddesses keep their own requirements brief and short as not to cause any confusion. Also remember that it’s okay if a god or goddess chooses to deny your request. It’s not a reflection of your or anyone else, it simply means that the god or goddess either doesn’t feel as if you two would be a compatible parent-child match or they’re at a certain place in their own personal plot that’s not compatible with you and the character you desire. Whatever the case may be, it’s not the end of the world and there are plenty of other character types and godly parents out there for you, don’t be disheartened.
Once you’ve found a godly parent that will accept you and is all ready to begin helping you develop your character, you two can begin constructing a back story for your character. It’s vital that you and your godly parent agree and construct your character’s back story together so that you both understand how your character came to be. You can decide how they were born, where they were born, their godly power, whether your godly parent has or has not interacted with you before and everything else. Once you are both in agreement about your character, you must both message the same admin that you told you were working on finding a godly parent earlier. Your godly parent must message the admin that they’re in agreement with your application and that they accept the responsibility of being your godly parent and you must send in your application to be critiqued or approved. If we see a flaw or something that doesn’t add up, we’ll tell both you and your godly parent about it and fix it for you. Once everything is fixed and we see that nothing is out of order, we’ll approve you and you can start your trial.
We do have requirements of our own for demi children and they are to be met accordingly. We don’t allow any demi children over twenty three years of age and all demi children must be younger than their godly parent and be older then fifteen. All demi children will only be allowed to have one of their parent’s abilities or an ability related to their parent’s abilities. If we see that we’re getting to many demi children with one particular ability, then we reserve the right to suggest a new one to you. You’re not allowed to harass or try and intimidate your godly parent into anything and must remain polite when speaking with them. Your face claim must look relatable to your godly parent. You’re application and application details must be realistic with your godly parent and your godly parent must be in agreement about it.
As we are strict about demi children, we are also strict about godly parents. It’s important for all godly parents to know that when they accept a demi child, they accept responsibility for that demi child’s biography and application details because we clearly state that there’s supposed to be communication between you and your godly child so that everything remains accurate and you don’t end up with miscellaneous children that you had no idea you had. This means that we expect you to tell your demi child if his or her application is inaccurate with your own character.
We require that all godly parents have a small number at the bottom of their profile where they keep track of the godly children that they have. When you’ve reached your limit of three godly children or have reached the number you want or feel your character can handle, then put a strike through the number of godly children you have to signify that you’re no longer accepting demi children at the time. If you aren’t accepting any godly children at all then simply put a zero with a strike through it.
We do allow you to make the decision on whether or not you accept demi children or demi children requests and we take no responsibility for that. We do ask that you are respectful and polite when addressing demi children requests and helping them with their biography and application and if you are not, then you can get a warning.
Also note that if you’re one of the virgin goddesses, then you can have found another way to give birth if you so desire such as a pure thought.
You cannot accept demi children until you have passed your trial and have been officially approved.
